Talented emcee Lee Ricks is keeping a fast and furious pace with his forthcoming project "Beats For Breakfast" with avant garde Hip Hop producer, BigBob. The latest track, "Life's a Bitch", is LR’s vivid description of realistic experiences and world views filled with dense wordplay and imposing delivery.

There is so much imagination and purpose in Lee Ricks language that nothing's diminutive about the sharply written prose, substantial syllables and parading imagery. Ayoo Cheveyo - "Comeupits" | @AyooCheveyo

As Chicago bred emcee Ayoo Cheveyo begins settling in to his new location of Madison, he presents his latest album, "Comeupits". The nineteen track songlisting is a full course Hip Hop meal for the earlobes. With this release, he recounts on life back in Chicago and the ups & downs surrounding it. With a strong foundation circling around the culture, Ayoo mixes in some new school influences all throughout. To add to that, he also has the ability to harmonize hooks and vocal backings. This is one area that backpack artists seem to falter in doing.

This gives Cheveyo a small advantage over other artists and provides him with a commercial edge to his music. "Comeupits" also utilizes movie clips to further tell Ayoo's story. DJ Marley Waters Announces 2017 as his transition year, unveiling his debut Dancehall based single, “Wine Pon It” -

DJ Marley Waters "Wine Pon It" represents a fusion of Pop, Reggae R&B and EDM. It's infectious vocals combined with the Waters signature trap sound creates the sensuality representing the current lifestyle of Dancehall.

When asked what "Wine Pon it" meant to him, Marley replied with this statement: Wine Pon it is when bad mon and bad gyal body link up a stroke to the melody. Sexual frequencies translated through the riddim. To perform you must gyrate and twist your hips, core and chest in a slithering motion. The wine is a Caribbean culture dance I resonated with growing up in Boston. The "bashment" is where we went to "wine all night".  Listen to the highly addictive single now, via Spotify.

Tweeze aka Twee-ze - "Parallel Universes" @tweezedoitez

South Carolina's Tweeze aka Twee-ze follows up his previously released "Who Cares" project with the eight track EP, "Parallel Universes". The album features the breakout hit, "Carolina Schemin'", a collab effort with Soul singer, CandaceK. For those unfamiliar to Tweeze's discography, his unique vocal tone consists of a distinct southern drawl full of a variety of harmonies.

He has a very chilled, laid back sound that will appeal to smokers and Hip Hop heads alike. Check songs like "Forest Fires" and "Hermetic Dreams" for prime examples to that statement. The theme behind this particular project is a parallel universe version of Tweeze, think of Jet Li's "The One" movie for a better visual understanding. Taiyamo Denku Ft Knowshun - "CannonHands" @TaiyamoDenku @knowshun @dcypha

In a time where the art form of emceeing and battling seems to be slipping away, artists such as Taiyamo Denku & Knowshun emerge from the ashes, torch in hand, to carry on the tradition of true Hip Hop. Treating the microphone as if it were a firearm, the pair hop onto a sinister Dcypha production titled "CannonHands". Drawing inspiration from their prior battle circuit days; Denku, Cypha and Knowshun perform as if their very lives were on the line.

Cypha Den Music, a label started by Taiyamo Denku and Dcypha, has been on a barrage of nonstop releases in 2016. In late July they launched "Gutter Noise", a crew record featuring newly inked members, L. Majestic and Rambunxious. Then in mid-September, fans were treated to a visual portrayal of "Life Like This" featuring CDM artist Urban Legend and Mobb Deep affiliate, Big Twins.

Izzy Strange Ft Blu - "At Home" @ishestrange

Pennsylvania's Izzy Strange continues to impress with yet another explosive collaboration. The Beasley’s Corner Bodega leader contracts 2009 XXL Freshman Blu for the Nate Fox produced, “At Home”. Mixing West Coast sounds on top of East Coast drum patterns, both emcees feel right "At Home" over the single. It is also set to appear on the recently announced “Stranger Than Fiction” mixtape, dropping this Fall. Soon after, Izzy's highly anticipated sophomore album “A Good Day 2 B The Bad Guy” will follow. The Dirty 6 Thirty - "Shawty Duwop" @TheDirty6Thirty

The Dirty 6 Thirty mesh club sounds with clever word play on their lead off single, "Shawty Duwop". What first started off as a party fueled night for the squad later turned into an intense cypher session. That's what lead up to the starting point for the recording of this 905 Productions produced hit. The term "Shawty Duwop" carries many meanings behind it such as a slang word for acid or for whenever you're on your grind, handling business. The release shows that artists Chris Hasty and Damien Prophet can quickly churn out addictive records. It also shows their ability to work off each other's energy. Brooklyn rapper / singer Sincurr proudly present his debut project, the eleven track "U.F.O. (Unofficially F***ing Official)". After receiving attention for the first single "Good Enough", the New York upstart meshes classic R&B flavor with an East Coast rhyme approach along with freestyles over classic records. Other standout songs include "Too Much Time" and "Sense To Me". The Dirty 6 Thirty - "100" @TheDirty6Thirty

Illinois collective The Dirty 6 Thirty deliver a hyper release titled "100". They are offering it to fans and new listeners as a free download as an introduction to a long list of releases coming thru the year. The squad consists of recording artists Chris Hasty, Damien Prophet and Young Turtle. They are also joined by manager Tom Hinky and beat chemists, 905 Productions and Third Eye Beats. On the song, Chris goes deep into a zone and gives off high energy. Damien feeds off the direction well and pencils some very clever lyrics. The song is also a precursor release for their official debut single produced by 905 Productions, "Shawty Duwop". Izzy Strange Ft Open Mike Eagle "Rappers Say The Darnedest Things | @ishestrange

East Coast emcee Izzy Strange drops a brand new single featuring Chicago's own Open Mike Eagle titled "Rappers Say The Darnedest Things". The song lyrics utilize humor and speak about industry cliches based on Rapper stereotypes. Izzy and Mike also offer their own take on chasing dreams in a world gone mad. The production is handled by Netherfriends, who also produced the Eligh featured "Fall Back".

The Beasley Corner Bodega artist is busy putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming fall album, "Good Day 2 Be The Bad Guy". In doing so, he's releasing solid guest featured loose singles to appease fans such as the two aforementioned songs. His next  track will be titled "At Home" and will feature production from Nate Fox (Chance The Rapper's The Social Experiment) and vocals from BLU. Yung Elo "On The Low" | @Yung_Elo

Jackson, Tennessee is home to upcoming R&B singer Yung Elo, who's poised to release his official debut effort "Yung Elo Vs Elo Escobar" later this year. In doing so, the upcoming singer contracts fellow Rhythm & Blues artist Treal for the lead off single, "On The Low". The song features brilliant production from Let That Boy Cook and finds both artists in prime form. Listen in as they provide a walk thru for the ladies on proper D.L. based encounters. Clever One - Wild Seed

Known for crushing mics with precision lyricism alongside his fellow brethren 7oddz, Chicago emcee Clever One presents his fourteen track sophomore album, "Wild Seed". The Chi-City emcee has already contributed bars to three group releases this year such as "Out For Blood Vol 3: Chapter 1 & 2" and "Old Fashioned Hip Hop". On "Wild Seed", the guest features are at a minimum and production is handled by 7oddz founder DreamTek and squad member, Save One. We hear Clever One spit much needed knowledge on tracks like "We All Know" and "Open Eyelids" while also being treated to some righteous Hip Hop tracks such as the M.O.P. sampled "The Business" and the DreamTek featured, "Villianz".
