Edo G Signature T-Shirts From Coolin’ Out

Edo G Signature T-Shirts From Coolin’ Out

The legendary emcee from Boston, MA. “Edo G” (also known as: Ed O.G.) has a new tee shirt out, and it is dope. The Boston rapper has teamed up with Arizona based clothing company “Coolin’ Out” to bring you one of the freshest shirt lines in recent history.
Edo G is no stranger to hip hop. Working with the likes of DJ Premier, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, Guru (#RIP), Masta Ace, Kool Keith, Sean P, and Ill Bill, he has become the hip hop lover’s renaissance man. His career spans over 25 years and still remains a breath of fresh air to even the pickiest listeners.

His impact on hip hop culture is only rivaled by his own contributions to the music. His words have been sampled by DJs and producers, including artists like Mary J Blige (on her track “Ooh!” which dropped back in 1993 on Mercury Records). That’s why Coolin’ Out wanted to encapsulate his words in silk screened fashion. The quote “You wasn’t down when we was ridin the bus!” has become the mantra of the starving artist. It’s the perfect manifestation of “where were you during the struggle?” – which happens to be the plight of many up-and-coming emcees.

Coolin’ Out Founder Chuck Huus and Edo G decided to team up on this shirt in hopes to reinvigorate the grind mentality that underground hip hop is known for. The shirt uses a fat and runny marker style font, and is sure to catch the attention of any tee shirt fanatic. The print is on a traditional heavy cotton tee, and the letters pop. There’s also a small Coolin’ Out insignia on the back between the shoulder blades.

Coolin’ Out emcee and host Nick Norris said “The other day I was at the airport, and the TSA checkpoint guard looked at me funny and said, ‘and now you’re about to be on the plane!’ which was a funny take on the shirt. Everyone has something to say about how the shirt makes them feel.” followed by, “What’s better than wearing a shirt that makes people think?”

This shirt is definitely a must for any hip hop enthusiast. It’s high quality and durable, and it’s printed onto a fade resistant tee, so no matter how many times you rock it, it will always look fresh.

The Coolin’ Out Shop is located in the heart of Phoenix’s art district on Roosevelt Row (610 E Roosevelt St #136, Phoenix, AZ 85004), and is open 7 days a week. But fear not, if you are not in the Phoenix area, you can pick up your commemorative tee shirt online at coolinout.tv anytime.

What is Coolin’ Out?

Coolin’ Out is a lifestyle brand. But don’t get it twisted, they do so much more than just print tee shirts and hats, they are also cultivators of hip hop culture. Coolin’ Out has the strongest roster of DJ’s in the country, boasting DMC Champions like Roli Rho (national) and Les735 (regional). The team also includes: Fact135 (Rhyme and Reason Radio, Blunt Club, Hip Hop House), DJ Akshen, DJ Reflekshin, DJ C-Los, Tricky T (Blunt Club, Motown on Mondays), and others. Artists like the world famous Dumperfoo, and emcees like Nomad Hip Hop, RoQy TyRaiD, and others also hold a strong place on the roster. The team is strong and is supported by legendary hip hop artists all over the world.

Q&A with Unlimited Royalty Creator Miguelina Vasquez(@URoyalty3)

Q: What inspired you to upstart your own clothing line?
A: My family actually inspired me to upstart my own clothing line. I had actually started one before with a few male friends of mine but I was putting in most of the work. I didn't have full control over the design although i was creating them. After my family saw how dedicated i was they asked why I don't create my own that way I can make my design how i want and have full control over everything. That is when I decided to start my own clothing line.

Q: Where did the idea for Unlimited Royalty come from?
A: I wasn't always the most confident person but as i got older I started to build myself up and didn't care what people thought about me only what i thought of myself. The idea behind the name came from building confidence and carrying yourself as an individual a certain way. Royalty in my mind means empowerment, worthiness , rich, pure. Unlimited means eternal, always, forever. If you lift yourself up then maybe you can give other people the confidence to do the same.

Q: How do you want people to feel when they wear a piece of your apparel?
A: I want people to feel confident and embrace who that are as person. i want them to feel good about themselves and believe that they can do anything. A sense of unity.

Q: If you could get any celebrity to wear your brand, who would it be?
A: I have a few in mind, I will start with Keke Palmer for a young queen I feel like she carries herself very well and she embrace who she is. Zendaya, I just love her energy, she also carries herself like a queen with confidence and not cocky. Diggy Simmons because he came from hip hop royalty but also carries himself like a King. T.I. not because i like him artist but because he teaches his kids morals. Queen Latifah she is one of my favorite MC's.

Q: What kind of designs can we expect to see in the future?
A: You can expect more crowns, designs with elephants, and design that have sayings and symbols that represent Kings and Queens.

Q: Outside of shirts and hats, what other types of clothing would you like to create?
A: I want create entire outfits. Socks, hoodies, sweaters, varsity jackets, shorts, pants(joggers) and jeans. I also want to do a collaborate withe NIKE or Adidas to have my logo printed on some of favorites from their collections.

Q: Where can one find your brand online?
A: You can find my brand on our website at www.unlimited-royalty.com
or you can find us on Facebook at facebook.com/unlimitedroyalty

JUNIOR EMPIRE RELEASE DEBUT EP - JUNIOR EMPIRE

London-based five piece Junior Empire release their debut EP, Junior Empire, today on Harvest Records - listen HERE. The EP includes the band's three previously released singles as well as two additional tracks, "I Know" and "Said And Done." Please see below for the full track-listing.

Speaking about the EP's opening track, the band said, "'I Know' is about that moment you realize you have had the wool pulled over your eyes. Along with a string of admirers, you have been falling for someone's charm blissfully unaware until the moment you understand you were just part of their game."

Junior Empire emerged on the scene last year with the summery "West Coast," which peaked as the No. 1 most popular track on Hype Machine and has steadily racked up over 1.5 million streams on Spotify. Pigeons and Planes declared that, "the five-piece band come with a clean and direct pop-rock sound," and called the track, "the kind of song you can imagine on mainstream radio or being belted out on the main stage at a big festival, and that is no bad thing." Following up the heels of "West Coast," the band released two additional tracks, "Decide," and "Danger," the latter of which Variance Magazine called, "entrancing" and wrote that everyone should, "definitely keep an eye for more from Junior Empire," as Clash agreed that, "the group seem set to dominate 2017."

Drawing fans in with their lively performances, Junior Empire performed a sold out show at Folklore in Hackney earlier this year and kicked off the summer with a performance at The Victoria Dalston earlier this month. Stay tuned for more as additional dates will be announced soon.

Vada - Old Testament (Album Stream)

Upon announcing that he is entering the world of Ministry, Vada compiled unreleased music on a free album called "Old Testament."

Vada explains the title saying "The title comes from the bible and how God was consistent in both the Old & New Testament of the bible. And if you peep, you'll see God was much more ruthless in the Old Testament. So the New Testament he showed much more grace and whatnot so, entering ministry I'll still be the same exact Vada. I'll just be different... that's all."

Vada produced every song on the album himself. With LI the God co-producing My Dreams & DJ Rek co-producing a So Good.

Take a listen below as this is the end of Vada as we know him. Or is it? We shall see.
